1. Agreement

These terms of service ("terms") are an agreement between you and Mihai Honceriu, an independent developer based in Romania ("we", "us"), and govern your use of the lil guys and lil couple iOS apps (the "apps") and the lilguys.app website. By using the apps you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the apps.

How we handle your data — including the photos you upload — is described in our privacy policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the apps. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you may use the apps only with a parent's or guardian's permission.

3. What the apps do

The apps generate sticker packs from photos you provide using AI image-generation technology. lil guys creates stickers of one person (optionally joined by a pet); lil couple creates stickers of a couple from a photo of each person (optionally joined by their pet). You can save the results and export them to messaging apps.

Because the stickers are AI-generated, results vary: stickers are stylized interpretations, may not perfectly resemble the people or pets in your photos, and may occasionally contain visual mistakes. A generation consumes your credit or subscription allowance when it completes as described in the app.

4. Your photos and your responsibilities

You keep all rights to the photos you upload. You grant us a limited license to process them — meaning to transmit them to our backend and our AI provider and to generate stickers from them — solely to provide the service to you. This license ends when the photos are deleted from our servers — as soon as your stickers reach your device, and automatically within 48 hours in any case.

By uploading a photo you confirm that:

• you have the right to use it, and
• every identifiable person in it has given you their permission to use their likeness this way — this matters especially in lil couple, where you upload a photo of your partner or another person.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload photos of people without their permission, or use the apps to harass, impersonate, defame, or deceive anyone;
• upload or attempt to generate unlawful, sexually explicit, or hateful content, or content sexualizing minors (we report such attempts to the relevant authorities);
• use the output to mislead people into thinking it is an authentic photograph;
• interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent the apps, their security or attestation mechanisms, or their usage limits;
• resell or commercially redistribute the service itself.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or abuses the service.

6. Your stickers

To the extent we hold any rights in the stickers generated for you, we assign them to you. You are free to use your stickers personally — in chats, with friends, wherever — subject to these terms and the rights of the people shown in them.

7. Purchases and subscriptions

• All purchases (credit packs, pack unlocks, and subscriptions) are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the price shown in the app until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in your device's Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions; cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. Cancelling keeps the subscription active until the period ends.
• Credits are consumed when you generate stickers. Consumed credits are not refundable; allowances and any expiry are described in the app at purchase time.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a generation fails through no fault of yours, contact us at [email protected] and we will make it right.
• EU withdrawal right: by starting a generation or activating a digital purchase immediately, you consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that the 14-day withdrawal right is lost once the digital content is delivered.
• Prices may change; changes apply only going forward and, for subscriptions, from the next renewal after notice.

8. App Store terms

The apps are distributed through Apple's App Store, and Apple's standard licensed-application terms apply to your download. In addition: these terms are between you and us — not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the apps and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to them or handling any product warranty; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you; and you represent that you are not located in an embargoed country and are not on any U.S. government restricted-parties list.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the apps running smoothly, but the service depends on third-party providers (Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI) and may occasionally be interrupted, changed, or updated. We may modify or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, active subscriptions would be handled through Apple's refund mechanisms.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which remain fully unaffected.

11. Termination

You can stop using the apps and delete your account in the app's settings at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (your responsibilities for uploaded content, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring disputes before the courts of that country.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version always lives at this page with the date above. For material changes we will notify you in the app, and continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
